Blood diagnostic test and consultation
HRT in the form of bioidentical hormones, with Dr John Baxendale
Service Description
Hormone replacement is commonly used in medical practice to restore levels of certain hormones that may be lacking in the body. How are bioidentical hormones given? The therapy is in the form of creams applied to the skin. This method will bypass the liver and gets absorbed into blood stream directly reducing side effects such as blood clots or thromboembolic events. Bioidentical hormones are synthetically made and structurally identical to human hormones found in the body. They are derived from plants but chemically modified to mimic the function of internally produced hormones.
